Hire me

I'm Avinash, a frontend engineer with 4+ years of building web products through freelance, contracts and full-time roles. Took full ownership of the frontend at 1acre, and built my own product Orbit, end-to-end from concept to launch.

My core stack centers on Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. I can reach into backend and infrastructure when the project needs it.

Currently available for freelance, contract, or full-time work.

Sep 2025 – Present

After 1acre, I stepped away from full-time employment to explore what it takes to build and ship complete products, beyond implementing interfaces. I'm using this time to deepen my engineering fundamentals, develop product judgment, and build things that real people use.

Codebase revamp

Migrated off a closed-source UI library sitting in an ex-employee's personal npm account to Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui, upgraded to App Router, and added TypeScript, and React Query.

Payments

Replaced Razorpay payment buttons with a standard checkout flow. Added analytics and backend visibility into payment events.

GIS & maps

Rendered 10,000+ dynamic map markers as GeoJSON-driven Mapbox symbol layers with cached sprite icons instead of DOM nodes, keeping mobile usable. Built the internal CMS and Mapbox pipeline behind it.

All personal projects, no day job in the mix. Gaps may contain 2,000-line 'fat ass' commits or unpushed work rotting in a local branch, dense areas may just be me fixing a semicolon. View for the vibes, not the metrics.
